About Us

Youth Group (Grades 6 -12)

The San Carlos United Methodist Church Youth Group meets weekly on Wednesday nights from 6:00—8:00pm.  During this time we play games, participate in group building activities, and have a time for devotions and programs.  Each week the program will focus on issues that we encounter on a daily basis.  We use movies, music, books, and other forms of pop-culture to illustrate situations each youth may encounter.

Mission-Outreach

We have the great opportunity to be in mission and ministry with others.  We use our gifts and graces to bring God's blessings to other people.

Some of the Mission-Outreach opportunities we have are:

-Loaves & Fishes Program: Hand out groceries to families & individuals in need on Sunday afternoons @ Wesley UMC.

-Lake Murray: Help keep this beautiful local resource clean for everyone to enjoy!

-Mission Beach: Walk from the jetti to Belmont Park cleaning up trash and keeping our beaches clean!

-World Vision: We've held many fundraising events for this excellent charity for children around the world.

-UMCOR: (United Methodist Committee on Relief) Recently we've raised funds to help our Methodist brothers & sisters in Haiti.

Recreational Trips and Activities

Throughout the year we go to awesome places like theme parks, malls, movies, and sports events for fellowship and fun.  We use these trips to invite our friends and have a great time away from church.  Check out the calendar to keep informed of upcoming trips!

Occasionally, we attend community, district, conference or national events, conventions, camps and retreats. Some local weekend retreats and ministries have also been planned. These events allow us to make new friends, get away, reflect on our spiritual life and refresh our faith in God.
