Here's what is going on this week 9/14.
Last week:
At youth group we began our 3-week program; What Time is it? We discussed "Goal Setting & God's Presence." We covered four areas of our lives that we want to set goals for ourselves in 2009-2010.
1. Church/Faith 2. School/Education 3. Relationships/Friends, Family: 4. Personal Health
As Christians we are called to listen to the presence of God in our lives and for God's direction in all that we do. We watched the Nooma:Shells. The main messege is that we must learn to say "no", because we said "yes" to Jesus. What are the areas of our lives that keep us from saying yes?
This Week:
Youth Group this week: What Time is it?- Choices: Balance & Priorities
Last week we discussed goal setting and how we needed to become aware of the presence of God in that process. This week we encounter the greatest gift that God gave us, free will. We have the choice of what our pursuits will be, however we quickly run into the issue of balance and what we choose to be important. This week we’ll be challenged to embrace the gift of free will and our choice to walk in the footsteps of Jesus.
Question to consider:
-How do our choices reflect the heart we have?
