Youth News week of Feb. 22

Here's what is going on this week 2/22.

 Last week:

  We continued our introduction to Lent. During youth group we went to the Sanctuary and participated in the spirit-filled Ash Wednesday service. It was an excellent way to begin Lent. The High School group went to Big Bear for the annual ski trip. The conditions were awesome and we had a great time with our friends at Foothills UMC. Thanks to all the volunteers for all the help!

"Merging Your Passion & God's Purpose"

  This week we will focus on: Our Gifts & Our purpose. The gifts we have are a gracious blessing from God. To truly honor those gifts we must understand faithfully the purpose God has for us. Our gifts are closely connected with the passions we have in life; the things we love to do, the things & peopel we care for most. How can the things we love become the passions that God wants for us to live?

Study Hall: Wednesday 2:30-4:00pm in the Fireside Room

-Come get your homework done before youth group. Snacks and refreshments provided.

Delivery of Pop-Tabs to the Ronald McDonald House: 4:00-5:00pm

-If you are interested in joining us please let Cody know ASAP.

Youth Group: Wednesday 5:30-8:00pm in Fellowship Hall

***We've got S.C.U.M.-Youth t-shirts for you!

Our 2 S.C.U.M. designs are $5 a piece. If you don't have both the Black or Green shirt then pick it up!

***We also have order forms for the UMY-SD t-shirts: OUR MISSION...  OUR COMMUNITY

They are $10 and come in a variety of colors. All money raised goes to help UMCOR in Haiti.

Collection of Pop Tops! YOU GUYS ROCK!

-We collected over 5 gallon-size plastic bags of pop tops! We'll go over to the RMcD on Saturday morning. If you want to join us let Cody know!
