Youth News week of Mar.1

Here's what is going on this week 3/1.

 Last week:

  We began the Externally Focused Life Lent program. We discussed how our faith asks us to recognize the difference between God as a part of our story and US as a part of God's story. It is very important that we lead our lives for God and we don't expect God to work for us.  

Youth Group next week: March 10th                 Externally Focused Life #3: "Minding the Intersections"

  This week we will focus on: Using our gifts to share our faith. God gives us opportunities everyday to share our faith with others. Sharing our faith can be the things we say & the things we do, but we must have our hearts, eyes, and ears open to the people in need.

Study Hall: Wednesday 2:30-4:00pm in the Fireside Room

-Come get your homework done before youth group. Snacks and refreshments provided.

Youth Council Meeting: 4:00-5:00pm in the Fireside Room.

Youth Group: Wednesday 5:30-8:00pm in Fellowship Hall

District Dance! San Carlos UMC Fellowship Hall 6:00-10:00pm

-We'll need help setting up at 10:00am on Saturday.  Please arrive at 5:30pm so we are ready to host as people arrive.

***We've got S.C.U.M.-Youth t-shirts for you!

Our 2 S.C.U.M. designs are $5 a piece. If you don't have both the Black or Green shirt then pick it up!

***We also have order forms for the UMY-SD t-shirts: OUR MISSION...  OUR COMMUNITY

They are $10 and come in a variety of colors. All money raised goes to help UMCOR in Haiti.

Collection of Pop Tops! YOU GUYS ROCK!

-We collected over 5 gallon-size plastic bags of pop tops! We'll go over to the RMcD on Saturday morning. If you want to join us let Cody know!
