Here's what's going on the week of 1/3.

Looking Back:

  We finished 2010 off right with our annual Christmas Party & Broomball and Parkway Bowl Overnighter. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year!

  Service Opportunities in January: 

***January 8 (Saturday) Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser @ San Carlos UMC (7:00-10:00am) All proceeds go to summer camperships!

***January 9 (Sunday) Loaves & Fishes (2:00-4:15pm) Come and help serve groceries to our friends at Wesley UMC.

***January 22 (Saturday) Community Park Service (8:00-10:00am) We'll continue work at the park on Navajo & Waring Rd. Bring shovels & other tools.

 Youth Group in January:     New Year's Covenant                               

As the New Year arrives we strain ourselves to find something “challenging” enough to be a new year’s resolution. Inevitably our resolution lasts a couple weeks and then it becomes too inconvenient for us to follow any longer and we stop. The resolution usually fails because we have no accountability to anyone but ourselves, there is no community cheering us on or helping us get through the difficult times. This year instead of a resolution we will look to follow a New Year’s Covenant. Covenant is a promise, it is a spiritual commitment, and we have our friends, family, and God cheering us on!
