Youth News in February

Here's what's going on for the month of February.

Looking Back:

  January was a great month! We were able to do a couple different service projects and we had another amazing High School Winter Retreat!

   Service Opportunities in February: 

***February 13 (Sunday) Loaves & Fishes (2:00-4:15pm) Come and help serve groceries to our friends at Wesley UMC.

 Youth Group in February:     Where's the Love?                              

          February 2: "Overview of the Four Loves: Part 1"

          February 9: "Overview of the Four Loves: Part 2"         

          February 16: "Where's the Love?"

           February 23: "How Can I Love?"

During the season of Valentine's Day we return to a day that focuses on love. However, we must ask the question, "Where is the Love?"

Youth will work during these four programs to understand love, where it is in today's society, what Jesus said about love, and how we can love the way Jesus teaches. This program will get youth to find love in their context, in their world. They will search for love that Jesus commands, they will be equipped with the tools and vocabulary to identify AGAPE love in their world.

What does Jesus require of us when we contemplate our interaction with the world? We will find out how we can live out this requirement today in our context.
