Youth News week of June 15th

Here is what's going on this week 6/15.

Last week we discussed the summer plans and the launching of our new website!

New Website:

On the website you can find a calendar, weekly news, cody's corner updates, information about our group, information about our excellent volunteer team, and a weekly poll.  Once you register you will have access to photos and a discussion board.  The discussion board is a very important tool for youth and parents.  There you will find general information with the summer sign-up form that you can download. A prayer request forum where you can lift up prayer
concerns. For parents you will find all the important forms to download and fill out for your youth to participate in activities, retreats, and events.

Important Summer Information:

To attend events this summer I MUST have the parent consent form and the insurance waiver. NO EXCEPTIONS. Also, youth are required to sign up for events ONE week prior to the event. There is no excuse for them to not be informed about the upcoming events. It is all on the website.

Youth Group this week:  Marvel #1: The Ciy's Need for a Superhero

We'll discover the need for heroes in our world and discuss qualities that heroes in comics have as well as heroes in real life!

New Youth Group T-Shirts Arrive:

Bring your $10 to purchase your S.C.U.M.-Youth t-shirt!  We have a limited number so they go at first come first serve!

River Trip Information:

Last day to register is Thursday June 18.  All other information is in the brochure you can pick up at Youth Group.

District Camp Information:

Forms are out! You can register online at calpaccamps.org or get a copy of
the registration form from Cody. San Carlos UMC will cover 50% of the
cost. Please let Cody know if you are planning on attending.

Dates are:

• Sr. High Camp July 12-18
• Jr. High Camp July 19-25
• Elementary Camp July 26-August 1
