Here is what's going on this week 6/22.
Last week we began our summer program, "Marvel Week #1: The City's Need for a Hero."
Some questions we discussed were:
-What traits make people our hero? How do they inspire us?
We searched through magazines and found different areas and issues in our communities as well as in our world that are in need of a hero.
This Week:
Youth can share places that they have seen, heard, and felt a need for a hero.
Youth Group this week: Marvel #2: Gifts & Talents-Our Super Powers
This week we'll begin to discover the gifts and talents that we all have to do the marvelous work that God calls us to do. The youth will start to construct their own "utility belt" with all the talents and tools they possess to go out into the world and be super!

New Website:
On the website you can find a calendar, weekly news, cody's corner updates, information about our group, information about our excellent volunteer team, and a weekly poll. Once you register you will have access to photos and a discussion board. The discussion board is a very important tool for youth and parents. There you will find general information with the summer sign-up form that you can download. A prayer request forum where you can lift up prayer
concerns. For parents you will find all the important forms to download and fill out for your youth to participate in activities, retreats, and events.
Important Summer Information:
To attend events this summer I MUST have the parent consent form and the insurance waiver. NO EXCEPTIONS. Also, youth are required to sign up for events ONE week prior to the event. There is no excuse for them to not be informed about the upcoming events. It is all on the website.
Trivia Question of the week:
Name 8 of the 16 heroes we discussed at Youth Group last week.
